Supporting A Worthy Cause
Giving back is the heart of the Delaware Seafood Festival, it’s been the main goal of this organization since the idea was tossed around years ago. Our mission is to do what we can for as many people as possible.
The Delaware Seafood Festival benefits The Stevenson Foundation which is a local non-profit 501c3 that is dedicated to giving back to local small businesses, students, and other non-profits in the area.
Giving back to small businesses can help the local economy, create jobs, and improve community satisfaction. It is the goal of the Delaware Seafood Festival to raise money every year and give back to the local community through fundraising efforts put forth by the festival. Through a variety of grants and scholarships The Stevenson Foundation will provide additional funding to local small businesses and schools throughout our community.
We were honored to be able to donate to several organizations in our first festival year, including Jusst Sooup, Camp Barnes, Millsboro Little League, American Legion, National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The Delaware Seafood Festival has many plans for growth in the coming years to be able to support additional organizations.
Calendars- A yearly Kids Seafood Art Calendar Contest. Each year children will submit their drawings for a chance to win their drawing in the calendar contest. The calendars will be sold during the festival. It’s a great way to support the local kids and the organization.
Seasonings- We are excited to partner with Shore Smoke Seasonings to offer an exclusive commemorative seasoning each year. Such an awesome collectible for any foodie! Seasonings will be for sale at the festival.
Raffles- The festival prides itself on amazing raffle items to be used as a great source to bring in funds to support more organizations.
Cornhole Tournament- The annual DSF Cornhole tournament is a fun way to raise money for local organizations and always draws a crowd of competitors.
